Product Description

This massive cutaway model was released in 2010.  The 180-piece kit came pre-painted and could be easily assembled with just an X-Acto knife and some styrene glue.  This was 4D Vision's second space-related kit, the first being its 1:72 Space Shuttle, released in 2009.

This model was built from an original issue.

This 4D puzzle of the Saturn V rocket is 3 dimensional plus detail. It is amazingly realistic and will provides hours of imaginative fun for ages 14 and up. Includes display stand. 180 pieces. 45" tall.

The Saturn V was the most powerful launch system ever created.  Designed specifically for America's Apollo program, the 360-foot three-stage chemical rocket booster was the only NASA rocket not originally designed for military purposes.  The Saturn V was the brainchild of Dr. Werner von Braun, the chief designer of Germany's V-2 program during WWII and later the lead rocket designer for America's space program.

First launched in 1967, the Saturn V made 13 flights before it was retired in 1973.  The system never experienced a single failure in all 13 efforts.
